New Rules and Updates for PGWP

The Canadian Government announced that from February 15, 2024, international students who graduated from master’s degree programs even that is under 2 years (minimum 8 months) are now eligible for 3 years PGWP, till the duration of their study program. However, students who have enrolled in curriculum licensing agreement programs are not eligible for PGWP from September 1, 2024
Students must be in Canada for the entire duration of their studies and attend 50% of their program in class can be eligible for a full duration of PGWP.
Starting from November 1, 2024, all applicants of PGWP must fulfill the language proficiency requirements. A Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 for university graduates and CLB level 5 for college graduates is required for international students who need to apply for PGWP.
